About the Role
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a dedicated Chemistry Teacher to join a flourishing school in Hemel Hempstead on a long-term, permanent contract starting in September 2026. You will be instrumental in cultivating a passion for scientific discovery among secondary students, inspiring them to achieve their full potential in Chemistry and the wider sciences. This role demands innovative teaching strategies and a commitment to fostering a dynamic learning environment where every student can excel.

Key Responsibilities
* Design and deliver stimulating Chemistry lessons that challenge and engage secondary students at all levels.
* Develop and implement creative schemes of work, ensuring curriculum breadth and depth.
* Accurately assess student attainment, providing timely and impactful feedback to drive progress.
* Actively contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Science department's curriculum.
* Foster a stimulating and well-organised learning environment, promoting scientific inquiry and practical skills.
* Participate in and lead enriching extracurricular science initiatives to broaden student experience.

About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong specialism in Chemistry.
* You demonstrate a proven ability to motivate and inspire secondary students with complex scientific concepts.
* You are committed to continuous professional development and reflective teaching practice.
* Excellent communication skills allow you to articulate challenging ideas clearly and effectively to diverse learners.
* You are adept at managing a dynamic classroom, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
* You are ready to embrace the unique challenges and rewards of a permanent teaching position.
