This exciting opportunity is for a dedicated Secondary Supply Teacher or Cover Supervisor to support learning across a forward-thinking school in the Basildon area of Essex. You will be instrumental in maintaining educational continuity, stepping into various classrooms to provide essential cover from day-to-day assignments to long-term placements. This role offers incredible flexibility, with options for daily supply, short-term contracts, long-term engagements, and even permanent opportunities, commencing as soon as possible with a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160.
Key Responsibilities
* Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons prepared by the regular teacher.
* Managing classroom behaviour effectively to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
* Ensuring the safety and well-being of all pupils under your supervision.
* Adhering to the school's established policies and safeguarding procedures.
* Providing constructive feedback on pupil progress and engagement where required.
* Contributing positively to the overall school environment during your assignments.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or significant experience as a Cover Supervisor within secondary education.
* Demonstrate excellent classroom management strategies and a proactive approach.
* Be highly adaptable and resilient, thriving in diverse educational settings.
* Hold a genuine passion for supporting pupil learning and development.
* Possess strong communication skills to interact effectively with pupils and staff.
