About the Role
Join a thriving school dedicated to providing exceptional support for primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to make a significant impact within our specialist environment, offering opportunities for long-term, short-term, daily supply, or permanent engagement starting as soon as possible. This rewarding role involves working closely with young learners, fostering their development and well-being every day.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide targeted support to primary pupils identified with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours constructively.
* Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with pupils, promoting trust and engagement.
* Assist in the delivery of tailored learning activities, adapting approaches to individual pupil requirements.
* Mentor pupils to develop their social skills and emotional regulation abilities.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive learning environment.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of primary-aged children.
* Demonstrate previous experience working with pupils who have social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of connecting with pupils and colleagues.
* Show a calm, patient, and resilient approach when faced with challenging situations.
* Be proactive and resourceful in creating a supportive and engaging learning atmosphere.
* Hold a relevant qualification or demonstrate a commitment to professional development in SEN support.
