A highly regarded school is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join its specialist primary school environment. This pivotal role involves supporting pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) who present with complex learning needs, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. You will be instrumental in providing 1:1 and small group support, fostering an inclusive and effective learning experience for every child. We offer flexible contract options, ranging from daily supply and short-term assignments to long-term placements or even a permanent opportunity, with an immediate start available. The daily rate for this rewarding position is between £90 and £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to primary pupils with complex learning needs.
* Facilitate engaging small group activities designed to meet individual learning targets.
* Assist in the implementation of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) effectively.
* Support children experiencing Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and speech and language challenges.
* Collaborate with class teachers and other professionals to ensure a cohesive educational approach.
* Contribute to creating a positive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued.
About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged children with special educational needs.
* Demonstrate previous experience working with pupils who have EHCPs and complex learning difficulties.
* Hold a strong understanding of conditions such as ASD, ADHD, and speech and language needs.
* Exhibit patience, resilience, and a compassionate approach to supporting children's development.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, suitable for working with pupils, staff, and parents.
