About the Role
A thriving school is seeking an enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join its dedicated team immediately. This pivotal role involves overseeing classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and focused on their learning tasks. We offer a variety of flexible contract options, including daily supply, short-term, long-term, and permanent positions, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to a vibrant secondary school environment. This position commands a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160, reflecting the importance of this key support function within our educational community.

Key Responsibilities
* Effectively manage classroom dynamics and maintain a productive learning atmosphere.
* Distribute pre-prepared work and ensure students are fully engaged with their assignments.
* Enforce school policies and procedures consistently to uphold high standards of conduct.
* Provide clear instructions and support to students, addressing any immediate queries.
* Record student attendance and accurately report any significant issues or concerns to the relevant staff member.
* Foster a safe and respectful environment where all students feel encouraged to learn.

About You
* You possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with students quickly.
* Demonstrable experience in managing groups of young people within an educational or youth setting is essential.
* You are highly adaptable and can confidently manage diverse classroom situations.
* A firm but fair approach to behaviour management is central to your practice.
* You are reliable, punctual, and committed to supporting student learning.
* You hold a genuine passion for contributing positively to the educational journey of secondary students.
