Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to primary pupils with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies to manage challenging behaviours proactively and calmly.
* Mentor pupils to develop their social and emotional regulation skills, fostering resilience.
* Build strong, positive, and trusting relationships with pupils, promoting a sense of belonging.
* Assist class teachers in creating an inclusive and stimulating learning environment for all.
* Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials as necessary to meet individual learning styles.
About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting primary-aged children, particularly those with SEMH needs.
* You are calm, patient, and possess exceptional de-escalation skills in challenging situations.
* You can build rapport quickly and effectively with vulnerable pupils, earning their trust.
* You exhibit a proactive approach to supporting learning and managing behaviour within a specialist setting.
