SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to pupils with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs). This dynamic role involves working closely with children individually and in small groups, addressing complex learning needs such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £90-£115, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to pupils with diverse learning needs.
* Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and EHCP targets.
* Support children with complex communication, social, and cognitive challenges.
* Foster an inclusive and engaging classroom environment where every child feels valued.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers, therapists, and support staff.
* Contribute to the monitoring and recording of pupil progress and achievements.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs.
* You have previous experience working with primary-aged children with ASD, ADHD, or speech and language difficulties.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* You are patient, resilient, and adaptable to individual pupil requirements.
* You hold a relevant qualification or have practical experience in an SEN setting.
* You are committed to promoting positive behaviour and fostering independence.
