An ambitious school is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their specialist provision. This vital role involves supporting secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, fostering a positive learning environment. You will play a crucial part in providing behaviour support, assisting with emotional regulation, and facilitating pupils' reintegration into mainstream learning. We are looking for someone available for long-term, short-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, offering a competitive daily rate ranging from £95 to £120, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary pupils with SEMH needs within a specialist setting.
* Implement effective strategies for positive behaviour management and de-escalation.
* Assist pupils in developing coping mechanisms for emotional regulation and resilience.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to create individualised learning plans.
* Support the successful reintegration of pupils into the broader school curriculum.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere where every pupil feels valued.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting the educational journey of young people.
* Previous experience working with secondary-aged pupils, particularly those with SEMH needs, is highly desirable.
* You demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* Resilience, patience, and a calm demeanour are key attributes you bring to the classroom.
