About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity to join a dedicated school in the High Wycombe area, focused on providing outstanding support for secondary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) within a specialist setting. We are seeking an empathetic and proactive ASD Support Assistant to make a significant difference in pupils' daily learning journeys. This role offers flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115, commencing as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored one-to-one and small group support to secondary pupils with ASD.
* Actively facilitate and encourage social communication skills development.
* Implement strategies to effectively manage and address pupils' sensory needs.
* Assist students in accessing and engaging with the secondary curriculum.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENCOs to create inclusive learning environments.
* Support pupils in developing independent learning and essential life skills.

About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
* You demonstrate prior experience working with secondary-aged students on the autism spectrum.
* You are patient, resilient, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and able to respond effectively to individual student needs.
* You hold a commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
* A relevant qualification in SEN support or a related field is desirable but not essential.
