About the Role
A progressive school is seeking a passionate ASD Support Assistant to join our vibrant team. This crucial role involves providing specialist support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum within our dedicated provision. You will be instrumental in implementing structured routines, utilising sensory strategies, and enhancing communication for our young learners. We welcome applications for a variety of contract opportunities, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent placements.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils with autism spectrum disorder.
* Implement structured routines and visual aids effectively to promote independence.
* Utilise sensory strategies to create a calm and focused learning environment.
* Facilitate and enhance communication using a range of appropriate methods.
* Work collaboratively with the teaching team to support individualised learning plans.
* Foster an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere where every child can thrive.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged pupils with special educational needs.
* Demonstrate experience working with children on the autism spectrum.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Have an empathetic and patient approach to supporting individual learning journeys.
* Be proactive, adaptable, and a committed team player.
* Hold a strong understanding of safeguarding procedures and child welfare.
