This crucial role involves re-engaging disaffected learners, expertly managing complex behaviours, and delivering a modified, accessible curriculum tailored to individual needs. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging lessons across a modified secondary curriculum.
* Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm and productive classroom.
* Actively work to re-engage students who have become disaffected with education.
* Develop and maintain a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for all pupils.
* Accurately assess pupil progress and adapt teaching methods to meet diverse needs.
* Collaborate closely with support staff and external agencies to ensure holistic student development.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a relevant teaching qualification.
* Demonstrate substantial experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEMH or complex SEN.
* Exhibit exceptional behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach.
* Show a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners and fostering their academic and personal growth.
* Be adaptable and creative in differentiating lessons to suit a wide range of learning styles and abilities.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
