Dunbar Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCo to join a welcoming independent secondary school in Slough, Berkshire. This is a temporary role commencing in September, offering a competitive salary paid to scale.
Key Responsibilities:
• Overseeing the implementation and delivery of the SEN policy.
• Managing and coordinating the provision of support for students with special educational needs.
• Liaising with parents, external agencies, and other school staff.
• Ensuring all students with SEN receive appropriate support to achieve their full potential.
• Keeping up-to-date with current SEN legislation and best practice.
About You:
• Must hold the NASENCo qualification or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a SENCo or in a similar role.
• Strong understanding of the SEN Code of Practice.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A proactive and organised approach to managing SEN provision.
