Join a ambitious primary SEN school dedicated to providing outstanding support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties. This long-term, permanent PMLD Support Assistant role commences as soon as possible, offering a daily rate of £95-£120. You will become an integral part of a specialist provision, delivering essential personal care, facilitating sensory stimulation, and diligently implementing bespoke therapy programmes for young learners.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one and small group support to primary-aged pupils with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).
* Assist with all aspects of personal care, maintaining dignity and respect for every child.
* Facilitate engaging sensory stimulation activities to promote pupil development and exploration.
* Accurately implement individualised therapy programmes as directed by specialists.
* Contribute to creating a nurturing, safe, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure holistic pupil progress.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting children with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, ideally within a primary setting.
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and resilience when facing diverse challenges.
* Confidently carry out personal care duties with professionalism and sensitivity.
* Understand the importance of implementing individualised education and therapy plans.
* Communicate effectively with pupils, colleagues, and external professionals.
