About the Role
At a progressive school in High Wycombe, we are seeking a dedicated and empathetic ASD Support Assistant to join our vibrant primary provision. This crucial role involves providing specialist support to primary pupils on the autism spectrum, focusing on implementing structured routines, sensory strategies, and effective communication support within a nurturing environment. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £90 to £115, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Implement structured routines and visual aids to promote predictability and reduce anxiety.
* Support the development of communication skills using various strategies appropriate to individual needs.
* Assist in creating and maintaining a sensory-rich and inclusive learning environment.
* Collaborate effectively with class teachers and SENDCo to monitor pupil progress and adapt support plans.
* Facilitate positive social interactions and promote independence among pupils.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged pupils with special educational needs, particularly ASD.
* Demonstrate a proactive and patient approach to fostering pupil development and well-being.
* Have prior experience working with children on the autism spectrum in an educational setting.
* Exhibit strong communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal, to connect effectively with pupils and staff.
* Show a commitment to continuous professional development and learning new strategies.
* Be adaptable and resilient, thriving in a dynamic and supportive team environment.
