About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly regarded school in Buckinghamshire as an ASD Support Assistant, working within a specialist SEN setting for secondary students. You will play a crucial role in providing dedicated support to young people on the autism spectrum, helping them to thrive academically and socially. This position offers a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115, with immediate start available and opportunities for long-term, short-term, or permanent engagements.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to secondary students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
* Actively facilitate and encourage the development of social communication skills.
* Effectively manage and support students with sensory needs within the school environment.
* Assist students in accessing the curriculum across various subjects and learning activities.
* Collaborate closely with teaching staff and specialists to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all students.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting young people with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* An empathetic and patient approach is central to your working style.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building rapport with students and staff.
* A strong understanding of strategies for managing sensory needs and promoting social communication is essential.
* You are proactive, adaptable, and committed to making a tangible difference in students' lives.
* Relevant qualifications in SEN support or a related field are highly desirable.
