A supportive school in Chelmsford, Essex is seeking a dedicated SEN Supply Teacher to join their team on a daily and short-term basis, starting as soon as possible. This rewarding opportunity involves covering secondary classes across a range of adapted curriculum areas within various specialist SEN settings. You will be instrumental in providing continuity of learning and vital support to pupils with diverse needs, ensuring a positive and engaging educational experience for all.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging lessons across various adapted curriculum areas to secondary pupils with special educational needs.
* Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and pupil support strategies effectively.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all pupils.
* Manage classroom behaviour proactively and sensitively, adhering to established school policies.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants and other support staff to ensure comprehensive pupil care.
* Provide clear and constructive feedback on pupil progress and attainment where appropriate.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant experience working with secondary-aged pupils with SEN.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of diverse special educational needs and effective pedagogical strategies.
* Be highly adaptable and able to quickly integrate into various school environments and routines.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building positive rapport with pupils and colleagues.
* Hold a genuine passion for supporting the educational development and well-being of pupils with SEN.
* Be readily available for daily supply and short-term assignments throughout the Chelmsford area.
