We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Physics Teacher to join a progressive school on a long-term, permanent contract. This exciting opportunity is available for a September start, or sooner for the right candidate, and involves delivering engaging Physics lessons across the secondary phase. You will play a vital role in our vibrant Science department, inspiring a love for the subject and fostering intellectual curiosity among our students. There will also be an opportunity to contribute to Chemistry teaching for candidates with a relevant specialism.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver high-quality, innovative Physics lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5.
* Cultivate a dynamic and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and can thrive.
* Regularly assess student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the Science curriculum, ensuring its relevance and rigor.
* Actively participate in departmental meetings, school events, and wider community initiatives.
* Support and encourage student participation in enriching extra-curricular science activities.
About You
* You possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in Physics or a closely related scientific discipline.
* You can demonstrate proven success in teaching Physics across the full secondary age range.
* A genuine passion for science education and a desire to inspire young people is essential.
* You exhibit excellent classroom management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* A strong commitment to continuous professional development and upholding our school's core values defines your approach.
* Desirable: the ability to contribute effectively to the teaching of Chemistry.
