This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated SEN Supply Teacher to join a supportive school in the South East of England. You will play a crucial role in providing engaging education across various adapted curriculum areas within a specialist secondary SEN setting. This daily and short-term supply position offers flexibility and the chance to make a significant difference to pupils with diverse special educational needs on an immediate basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the specific needs of secondary pupils with SEN.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
* Assess pupil progress informally, providing feedback to support their development.
* Collaborate professionally with support staff and colleagues to ensure continuity of learning.
* Adhere strictly to the school's safeguarding and behavioural policies at all times.
* Adapt teaching strategies quickly to meet the varying requirements of different classes and settings.
About You
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Possess demonstrable experience working with secondary-aged pupils with a range of special educational needs.
* Exhibit strong classroom management skills and a calm, patient approach.
* Demonstrate exceptional adaptability and flexibility, thriving in diverse school environments.
* Show a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal development of every pupil.
* Maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport quickly.
