About the Role
At a flourishing school, we are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide individualised assistance to a primary-aged pupil. This vital role involves supporting a young learner with complex needs, including those related to autism spectrum disorder, profound and multiple learning difficulties, or sensory impairments. You will play a crucial part in fostering their development, engagement, and overall well-being within our supportive educational environment. We are open to discussions for long-term, daily supply, or permanent arrangements, with an immediate start available.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, one-to-one support to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Build a strong, trusting rapport to create a positive and secure learning environment.
* Implement and monitor individualised education plan (EHCP) targets effectively and creatively.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and professionals to integrate specialist strategies.
* Encourage the pupil's independence, communication, and participation in all school activities.
* Ensure the pupil's safety, welfare, and well-being are prioritised at all times.

About You
* You possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex special educational needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairments.
* An empathetic, patient, and resilient approach is central to your practice.
* You communicate effectively and sensitively with pupils, staff, and external professionals.
* A strong understanding of individualised education plans (EHCPs) and their implementation is essential.
* You are deeply committed to fostering the progress and well-being of every child you support.
* You demonstrate a proactive attitude, showing initiative and adaptability in your daily work.
