This exceptional opportunity is available within a supportive school in Milton Keynes. You will be instrumental in teaching secondary students within a specialist Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) provision. The core focus involves re-engaging disaffected learners and expertly managing complex behaviours. Your ability to deliver a modified curriculum tailored to individual needs will be crucial for student success.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons across a modified secondary curriculum.
* Implement effective strategies for managing complex behavioural needs and promoting positive conduct.
* Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued.
* Assess and monitor individual student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary to maximise attainment.
* Collaborate proactively with support staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure holistic student development.
* Contribute to the ongoing development and implementation of individualised learning plans for pupils.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
* Demonstrable experience working effectively with secondary-aged students who have SEMH needs.
* Exhibit excellent behaviour management techniques, coupled with strong de-escalation skills
