This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Design and Technology Teacher to join a highly regarded school within the vibrant community of Essex, commencing in September 2026. This permanent, long-term position involves delivering high-quality, inspiring DT lessons across the secondary phase. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Design and Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5.
* Develop and implement creative schemes of work that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
* Assess student progress regularly, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their development.
* Maintain a safe, organised, and stimulating workshop environment conducive to practical learning.
* Contribute actively to the ongoing development of the school's DT curriculum and departmental initiatives.
* Participate fully in wider school life, including departmental meetings, parent evenings, and extra-curricular activities.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Design and Technology.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for inspiring young people through practical and creative subjects.
* Exhibit strong classroom management skills, fostering an inclusive and productive learning atmosphere.
* Show a commitment to continuous professional development and keeping abreast of curriculum changes.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
