About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Brentwood, Essex, with an immediate start available. You will be responsible for overseeing classes across various subjects, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment during the short-term absence of the regular teacher. This position offers flexible contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, or even permanent possibilities, with an attractive daily rate ranging from £145 to £160. This general cover role allows you to become an integral part of the school community, supporting student progress and maintaining classroom order.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise whole classes effectively during planned and unplanned teacher absences.
* Manage classroom behaviour proactively to ensure an optimal learning atmosphere for all students.
* Deliver pre-set work, ensuring pupils remain focused, engaged, and on task throughout lessons.
* Provide appropriate support for students' learning, addressing queries and facilitating understanding where possible.
* Maintain accurate records of student attendance and any behavioural incidents.
* Liaise professionally with teaching staff regarding student progress and any issues encountered during cover.

About You
* You possess strong classroom management skills, capable of fostering a respectful and orderly environment.
* You have previous experience working with young people within an educational or similar setting.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, building rapport with students and staff.
* You are highly organised, consistently reliable, and adaptable to changing daily timetables.
* You hold a genuine passion for supporting student learning and contributing to their development.
* You are eligible to work in the UK and committed to upholding the highest safeguarding standards for children.
