A dedicated school in the South East is actively seeking an empathetic 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide focused, individualised support for a primary-aged pupil. This vital role involves working closely with a child who has complex needs, potentially including ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment, fostering their development and ensuring their educational journey is positive and enriching. We are looking for individuals available for immediate starts, with opportunities for long-term, daily supply, or permanent contracts, offering a competitive daily rate of £85 - £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent, one-to-one support to a primary pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Cultivate a strong, trusting rapport with the child, understanding their individual communication and learning styles.
* Effectively implement and monitor personalised education healthcare plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate regularly with therapists, teachers, and other professionals to ensure holistic support.
* Facilitate the pupil's engagement in all aspects of school life, adapting activities as necessary.
* Assist with personal care and mobility requirements, promoting dignity and independence where appropriate.

* You possess demonstrable experience supporting children with complex special educational needs, such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment.
