About the Role
A forward-thinking school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide individualised assistance to a primary-aged pupil with complex needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. This vital role involves offering tailored support to foster the pupil's development and engagement within the school environment. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with an attractive daily rate of £85-£110, for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent and dedicated one-to-one support to a specific primary pupil.
* Establish a strong, positive rapport to build trust and encourage engagement.
* Effectively implement and monitor Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and specialists to integrate therapeutic strategies.
* Assist with personal care requirements, ensuring dignity and comfort where needed.
* Document pupil progress and contribute to reviews, providing valuable insights.

About You
* You possess proven experience supporting children with complex Special Educational Needs, such as ASD or PMLD.
* A compassionate and patient approach to working with young people is essential.
* You demonstrate excellent communication skills, capable of liaising effectively with various stakeholders.
* The ability to adapt your support strategies to meet individual pupil needs is crucial.
* You are proactive, reliable, and committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment.
* A relevant qualification in supporting teaching and learning or SEND is highly desirable.
