Key Responsibilities
* Implement structured routines and engaging activities tailored to individual pupil needs.
* Provide personalised communication support, utilising various strategies to enhance understanding.
* Assist with the development and application of sensory strategies within the provision.
* Support pupils in accessing the curriculum, adapting materials as required.
* Foster a calm, predictable, and positive learning atmosphere for primary-aged children.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers and SENDCo to monitor pupil progress and well-being.
About You
* You possess a genuine passion for supporting primary-aged pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
* Previous experience working in an SEN environment, particularly with ASD, is highly desirable.
* You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building strong rapport with pupils.
* A proactive and patient approach, with the ability to adapt to varying pupil needs, is essential.
* You are committed to continuous professional development and eager to learn new strategies.
* An understanding of safeguarding principles and an unwavering commitment to pupil welfare are paramount.
