This pivotal role involves leading small groups of pupils, each with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), within a specialist primary setting. You will be responsible for creatively adapting the national curriculum to meet individual needs, fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment. This exciting opportunity offers flexible contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, or permanent positions, with an attractive daily rate ranging from £150 to £250, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to small groups of primary-aged pupils with special educational needs.
* Develop and implement individualised learning plans, carefully considering each pupil's EHCP.
* Creatively adapt the national curriculum to ensure accessibility and progress for all learners.
* Foster a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.
* Collaborate effectively with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to support holistic development.
* Maintain open and constructive communication with families, celebrating achievements and addressing concerns.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong understanding of primary education.
* Demonstrate experience working with pupils with a range of special educational needs, ideally within a specialist setting.
* Hold a commitment to creating an accessible and empowering learning experience for every child.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team collaboration.
