We are seeking an inspirational Science Teacher to join a progressive school in the South East, commencing in September 2026. This permanent, long-term position offers an exciting opportunity to cultivate a love for science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, encouraging critical thinking and inquiry-based learning among secondary pupils. Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics, catering to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
* Employ creative pedagogical approaches to challenge and motivate pupils to achieve their highest academic potential.
* Conduct thorough assessments of pupil progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
* Actively contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Science curriculum.
* Participate fully in departmental meetings, extracurricular activities, and the broader school community.
* Maintain a positive and stimulating learning environment that upholds high standards of behaviour and safety.
About You
* Possess Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree in a Science specialism.
* Demonstrate a profound passion for Science and an ability to effectively transmit this enthusiasm to young learners.
* Exhibit strong classroom management skills and a commitment to fostering an inclusive educational setting.
* Be dedicated to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practice.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues, and parents.
* Be adaptable, resilient, and eager to embrace the dynamics of a busy secondary school environment.
