About the Role
We are actively seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join a well-established secondary school located in East London, with an immediate start available. This essential role involves overseeing classes during the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring students engage effectively with pre-set work and maintain a positive learning environment. You will be instrumental in upholding educational continuity across various subjects, working within a supportive team. The position offers a competitive daily rate of £145 - £160, with flexible contract options including long-term, short-term, daily supply, or even permanent placements to align with your career goals.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise students effectively in the classroom, ensuring their safety and engagement.
* Distribute and collect pre-prepared work, providing clear instructions as needed.
* Maintain a calm and orderly classroom environment, managing student behaviour in line with school policies.
* Respond appropriately to any student queries or issues that may arise during lessons.
* Uphold the school's values and behavioural expectations at all times.
* Report any significant incidents or concerns regarding student welfare to the relevant staff member.

About You
* You possess prior experience working with young people, ideally within a secondary school setting.
* Demonstrable strong classroom management and behaviour guidance skills are essential.
* You are highly adaptable and can quickly assimilate into different classroom dynamics.
* An outstanding communicator, you can build rapport effectively with both students and staff.
* You are proactive, reliable, and possess a professional attitude.
* A genuine commitment to fostering student development and supporting their learning journey is paramount.
