We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join a thriving primary school community. This crucial role involves providing tailored, individualised support to a pupil with complex needs, which may encompass conditions such as ASD, PMLD, or sensory impairment. You will be instrumental in fostering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, ensuring the pupil feels fully supported to achieve their full potential. This immediate opportunity offers flexible contract options, ranging from daily supply to long-term and permanent positions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated one-to-one support to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Build a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, fostering trust and engagement in learning.
* Effectively implement and review individualised Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) targets.
* Collaborate closely with external therapists and specialists to ensure integrated support.
* Assist the pupil with their academic and social development, adapting activities as required.
* Promote the pupil's independence and self-esteem within the school environment.
