About the Role
At a progressive school in East London, we are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to join our vibrant team. This pivotal role involves overseeing classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring continuity of learning and maintaining a positive classroom environment for secondary pupils. We offer flexible contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, and permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate ranging from £145 to £160, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities
* Supervise secondary school pupils in various subjects, ensuring engagement with set tasks.
* Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
* Distribute and collect pre-prepared lesson materials, clarifying instructions where necessary.
* Provide support to pupils, encouraging independent learning and addressing immediate queries.
* Report any significant pupil issues or concerns to appropriate staff members promptly.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all pupils under supervision throughout the school day.

About You
* Possess previous experience working with secondary school-aged children, ideally in an educational setting.
* Demonstrate excellent behaviour management skills and the ability to command a classroom effectively.
* Exhibit strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage positively with pupils and staff.
* Be highly adaptable and resilient, comfortable working across different subjects and year groups.
* Hold a genuine passion for supporting pupil learning and contributing to a positive school culture.
* Possess a proactive approach and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
