1:1 SEN Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to join a inclusive primary school in the Hertfordshire area. This fulfilling role involves providing tailored assistance to a pupil with complex special educational needs, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, or sensory impairments. You will play a crucial part in fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment, working closely with the pupil to achieve their individual educational goals. This opportunity offers a chance to build a meaningful connection and contribute significantly to a child's development, with contract options ranging from daily supply to long-term or permanent positions.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide consistent, dedicated 1:1 support to a primary-aged pupil with complex special educational needs.
* Implement personalised learning strategies and targets as outlined in the pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
* Cultivate a strong, positive rapport with the pupil, understanding their unique communication and learning styles.
* Collaborate effectively with external therapists and specialists to integrate their recommendations into daily practice.
* Adapt learning materials and classroom activities to ensure full accessibility and engagement for the pupil.
* Monitor and record pupil progress, providing regular feedback
