About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to work as an ASD Support Assistant, providing vital support to secondary students on the autism spectrum within our specialist SEN setting. This crucial role involves facilitating an inclusive learning environment and assisting students in achieving their full potential. We offer competitive daily rates ranging from £90 to £115, with various flexible contract opportunities available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities
* Facilitate effective social communication skills among students.
* Manage and respond to individual sensory needs within the learning environment.
* Support students in accessing the secondary curriculum across various subjects.
* Provide one-to-one and small group assistance to students with ASD.
* Implement individual education plans and behavioural strategies.
* Foster a positive and nurturing atmosphere for student development.

About You
* Possess a genuine passion for supporting young people with autism spectrum disorder.
* Hold previous experience working with secondary-aged students in an educational setting.
* Demonstrate a proactive and patient approach to challenging situations.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all students.
* Show an understanding of strategies to support social communication and sensory regulation.
