This crucial role involves supporting primary pupils with their social, emotional, and mental health needs within a specialist setting. You will be instrumental in fostering positive relationships, implementing effective de-escalation techniques, and providing essential mentoring. We are offering flexible contract options, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, or permanent positions, with an attractive daily rate ranging from £95 to £120, and an immediate start is available.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils experiencing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
* Successfully implement proven de-escalation strategies during moments of heightened emotion.
* Act as a mentor, guiding pupils in developing healthy coping mechanisms and self-regulation.
* Cultivate strong, trusting, and positive relationships with all pupils.
* Actively assist teaching staff with classroom activities and the delivery of individual learning plans.
* Contribute significantly to maintaining a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience supporting children with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect effectively with pupils and staff.
* Demonstrate a patient, resilient, and consistently calm approach to challenges.
* Show a strong ability to adapt your approach to meet diverse individual pupil requirements.
