Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver creative, high-quality English lessons across the secondary key stages.
• Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Develop engaging resources that cater to a diverse range of learning styles and abilities.
• Contribute positively to the collaborative ethos of the English department and wider school community.
• Participate in extracurricular activities, extending learning opportunities beyond the classroom.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and encouraged.
About You
• You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and possess a strong academic background in English.
• You have a genuine passion for your subject and a commitment to inspiring young people.
• You are an Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for an excellent start to your career, or an experienced teacher (MPS/UPS) seeking a new challenge.
• You demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and a creative approach to teaching.
• You are a collaborative team player with a willingness to share best practice and learn from colleagues.
• You are dedicated to promoting high standards of achievement and behaviour amongst all pupils.
