About the Role
An ambitious school is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to provide crucial support within its specialist primary setting. This vital role involves assisting primary pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment. We are looking for an individual available for a range of contract types, including long-term, short-term, daily supply, or permanent opportunities, commencing as soon as possible. A competitive daily rate of between £95 and £120 is offered, reflecting the importance of this specialist support.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to primary pupils identified with SEMH needs.
* Implement effective de-escalation strategies during challenging moments.
* Mentor individual pupils to develop their social and emotional skills.
* Cultivate strong, positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
* Assist class teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive learning activities.
* Contribute to the ongoing assessment and progress monitoring of pupils.

About You
* Possess proven experience supporting primary-aged pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
* Demonstrate a profound understanding of strategies for managing challenging behaviours constructively.
* Exhibit exceptional communication and empathy, capable of building trusting relationships.
* Remain calm and professional in demanding situations, employing effective de-escalation techniques.
