A well-established school in Milton Keynes is seeking an exceptional SEN Teaching Assistant to support primary-aged pupils with complex learning needs. This vital role involves working 1:1 and with small groups of children who have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs), encompassing conditions such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and speech and language difficulties. We are recruiting for various contract types, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, and permanent positions, with an immediate start available, offering a competitive daily rate of £90 - £115.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated 1:1 and small group support to primary pupils with EHCPs.
* Assist in adapting learning materials to meet individual pupil needs effectively.
* Facilitate access to the primary curriculum, ensuring all pupils can engage.
* Implement strategies to support children with complex learning needs, including ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all students.
* Collaborate closely with class teachers, therapists, and other specialists.
About You
* You possess proven experience supporting primary-aged children with Special Educational Needs.
* A strong understanding of EHCPs and their practical application is essential.
* You demonstrate the ability to effectively manage and support pupils with ASD, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
* Excellent communication, patience, and empathetic engagement skills are vital.
* You are adaptable and proactive in responding to diverse learning styles and behavioural needs.
