About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Design and Technology Teacher to join a supportive secondary school, committed to fostering creativity and practical skills among its pupils. This permanent, long-term position begins in September 2026, offering an exceptional opportunity to inspire the next generation of innovators within a collaborative learning environment. You will deliver engaging lessons across various aspects of Design and Technology, contributing significantly to pupils' academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging Design and Technology lessons to secondary pupils.
* Develop and implement creative schemes of work and stimulating curriculum resources.
* Assess pupil progress effectively, providing timely and constructive feedback to support learning.
* Maintain a safe, organised, and inspiring workshop environment, adhering to all health and safety guidelines.
* Actively contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular DT clubs and events.
* Collaborate with colleagues to share best practice and continuously enhance the curriculum offering.

About You
* You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant academic qualifications in Design and Technology.
* You possess a genuine passion for your subject and a commitment to inspiring young learners.
* You demonstrate excellent classroom management skills, fostering a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
* You are adaptable and innovative, capable of catering to diverse learning needs and abilities.
* You are dedicated to continuous professional development and personal growth within your teaching career.
* You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, building effective relationships with pupils, parents, and staff.
