A flourishing school in the South East is seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join its specialist provision. This vital role involves supporting secondary pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs, fostering a positive learning environment. You will be instrumental in providing crucial behaviour support, assisting with emotional regulation, and facilitating pupils' reintegration into academic activities. We are offering flexible contract options, including long-term, daily supply, short-term, or permanent positions, with a competitive daily rate of £95 - £120, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide tailored support to secondary pupils experiencing Social, Emotional, and Mental Health challenges.
* Successfully implement agreed behaviour management plans and strategies.
* Guide pupils in developing effective emotional regulation techniques.
* Support pupils in accessing the curriculum and reintegrating into learning activities.
* Work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic pupil development.
* Contribute to fostering a positive, nurturing, and inclusive school environment.
About You
* Possess demonstrable experience working with young people who have SEMH needs, ideally within a secondary setting.
* Hold a genuine passion for making a significant difference to the lives of vulnerable pupils.
* Exhibit excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, fostering positive relationships.
