A well-established school is seeking a dedicated 1:1 SEN Support Assistant to provide individualised assistance for a secondary pupil with complex needs. This vital role involves closely following EHCP targets, ensuring the pupil can access the curriculum effectively, and actively promoting their independence and essential life skills. We are looking for an individual available to start as soon as possible, with various contract options available, offering a daily rate between £85 and £110.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide dedicated, individualised 1:1 support to a secondary pupil.
* Implement and monitor EHCP targets effectively to facilitate progress.
* Adapt learning materials and environments to ensure curriculum accessibility.
* Foster the pupil's personal growth and development of independence.
* Encourage the acquisition of vital life skills through practical support.
* Collaborate closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure holistic care.
About You
* Possess significant experience supporting pupils with complex special educational needs.
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of Educational Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
* Exhibit exceptional patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
* Be highly proactive in identifying and addressing individual pupil needs.
* Show a commitment to promoting independence and fostering essential life skills.
* Hold excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
