Are you an SEN Teaching Assistant? Do you want to work in an Ofsted ‘Good’ all through school? Do you want to make a difference and inspire young minds? Do you have experience working with children who have ASC?

Dunbar SEN is currently supporting a specialist school in Kettering who are looking to appoint an experienced SEN ASC Teaching Assistant from Easter who can Assist students, within the class, individually or in small groups (and sometimes outside the main classroom) in the completion and adjustment of a wider range of predefine learning, care and support activities to meet the requirements of students and the curriculum.

The School provides high-quality education and believes in developing its pupil’s basic skills with a particular emphasis on literacy, communication, and numeracy as well as developing skills for independent living. They support and guide children with PMLD, ASC, and SLD. Although this school is an all through special school their students are learning at the Primary level so the ideal candidate will have experience with personal care and primary special educational needs.

They are committed to providing an enjoyable, quality holistic education for all their pupils within a friendly atmosphere, where they can fulfill their potential, grow in confidence, self-esteem, and most importantly be happy individuals.

 

Desirable Skills

  • DBS on the update service
  • General understanding of Special Educational Needs.
  • General understanding of national curriculum and other basic learning programs.
  • Ideally experience working with ASC Students.
