About the Role
We are supporting a welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes seeking a strong UKS2 Teacher to work across Year 5 and Year 6. The role involves a mix of small group and whole-class teaching to raise outcomes ahead of SATs. This is a long-term position for the remainder of the academic year, starting as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons and targeted small-group interventions across Year 5/6
- Adapt existing planning to meet the needs of different learner groups
- Mark and assess pupil work in line with school policy
- Collaborate with the Year 5/6 team, attending weekly after-school meetings (Thursdays until 4:15pm)
- Contribute to the school’s commitment to raising attainment in preparation for SATs
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Proven experience teaching across Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5 or 6
- Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
- Ability to commit to a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year
