Year 5/ Year 6 Teacher

About the Role

We are supporting a welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes seeking a strong UKS2 Teacher to work across Year 5 and Year 6. The role involves a mix of small group and whole-class teaching to raise outcomes ahead of SATs. This is a long-term position for the remainder of the academic year, starting as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging lessons and targeted small-group interventions across Year 5/6
• Adapt existing planning to meet the needs of different learner groups
• Mark and assess pupil work in line with school policy
• Collaborate with the Year 5/6 team, attending weekly after-school meetings (Thursdays until 4:15pm)
• Contribute to the school’s commitment to raising attainment in preparation for SATs

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Proven experience teaching across Key Stage 2, ideally in Year 5 or 6
• Strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
• Ability to commit to a full-time role for the remainder of the academic year
