A welcoming mainstream primary school in Slough is seeking a dedicated Year 1 Teacher to join their team from January. You’ll be responsible for delivering engaging and creative lessons that build strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, helping pupils transition smoothly into KS1 learning.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons aligned with the national curriculum

Assess and track pupil progress, ensuring all children are supported and challenged

Create a nurturing classroom environment that encourages curiosity and confidence

Work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to enhance pupil development

Contribute to wider school life and community initiatives

About You

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching in UK primary schools

Strong understanding of KS1 curriculum and effective classroom practice

Excellent communication and organisational skills

A commitment to creating positive learning experiences for all pupils
