Teaching Assistant – Behaviour Support
A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Wellingborough is seeking a compassionate Pastoral and Behaviour Support Officer to join their team. This role is ideal for someone passionate about supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and fostering positive behaviour in a primary school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide pastoral support to pupils, including one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Support staff in managing behaviour and implementing positive behaviour strategies.
- Promote pupils’ social, emotional, and academic development.
- Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies when needed.
- Monitor, report, and track pupil progress in wellbeing and behaviour.
Requirements:
- Experience working with primary-aged children in a pastoral or behaviour support capacity.
- Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and safeguarding procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathy, patience, and a positive approach to supporting children.
- Relevant qualifications in childcare, pastoral care, or education are desirable.
