We’re seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Humanities to join our team, located in Essex. This exciting Permanent role starts on TBC.

Teacher of Humanities

We are looking for an experienced Humanities Teacher with QTS to join a thriving secondary school in Essex. You must have recent UK classroom experience and be confident teaching KS3 and KS4.

This role will involve teaching Humanities across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a focus on History and Geography. You will be expected to plan, deliver, and assess engaging lessons, ensuring pupils make strong progress and achieve their potential.

The school has a supportive staff team, a truly inclusive ethos, and strong leadership that prioritises both staff wellbeing and student achievement. There are also opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Key requirements:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Proven experience teaching in UK secondary schools
• Strong subject knowledge in Humanities and commitment to pupil progress

Pay & Details:

• Salary: Paid to scale (£33,959 – £51,984 MPS/UPS equivalent)
• Contract type: Long-term / Ongoing
• Hours: Full school day, term time only
