About the Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Design & Technology to join a forward-thinking and supportive department. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate teacher who wants to inspire students across Key Stages 3–5, encouraging creativity, problem-solving, and innovation through practical and investigative learning.

You will play a key role in delivering engaging lessons that challenge and motivate pupils of all abilities, helping them to develop the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed. The successful candidate will be an excellent classroom practitioner who can bring new ideas, energy, and commitment to the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons across KS3–KS5.
  • Inspire students to develop curiosity and confidence in Design & Technology.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and share best practice within the department.
  • Provide constructive feedback and maintain accurate records of student progress.
  • Support the wider life of the school through extra-curricular and enrichment activities.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour, safeguarding, and professionalism.

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree.
  • Experience teaching Design & Technology at secondary level (KS3–KS4 essential, KS5 desirable).
  • Up-to-date subject knowledge and strong understanding of effective teaching strategies.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and challenge pupils of all abilities.
  • Committed to professional growth, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
