About the Role

An all-through mainstream school in Buckingham is looking to appoint a SENCo for a one-year maternity cover starting at Easter. The successful candidate will lead the coordination and development of SEND provision, ensuring pupils receive appropriate support to access learning and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage SEND provision across the school
  • Work closely with teachers, support staff and external agencies
  • Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and best practice
  • Monitor student progress and develop targeted support strategies
  • Provide guidance and training to staff on inclusive teaching

About You

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with SEND within UK schools
  • SENCo qualification or willingness to work towards it
  • Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
