SEN Teaching Assistant | Romford | November 3rd | Full-time Temporary | £106–£115 a day
About the Role
A well-regarded special school in Romford is looking for a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from November 3rd. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful difference, supporting students with a range of additional needs in a structured and caring environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEN on a 1:1 and small-group basis, promoting engagement and independence.
- Implement tailored strategies under the guidance of the class teacher and SENCO.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive, safe learning environment.
- Support with the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and external professionals.
About You
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, SEMH, ADHD, or MLD).
- A calm, patient, and proactive approach to managing behaviour and learning challenges.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Available for a full-time commitment starting in November.
