About the Role
An inclusive mainstream primary school in Milton Keynes is looking for a confident SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs on a long-term basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the classroom while developing your experience in SEN.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEND
- Implement strategies from EHCPs under teacher and SENCO guidance
- Support emotional regulation and encourage positive behaviour
- Assist with daily routines, classroom activities, and transitions
- Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals
About You
- Previous experience supporting children with special educational needs
- Strong communication and behaviour management skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Calm, adaptable, and proactive approach to challenges
