Primary Trained Ks3 Intervention Teacher
About the Role
A forward-thinking mainstream secondary school in the Milton Keynes–Buckinghamshire area is seeking a Primary Trained KS3 Intervention Teacher to support pupils transitioning into secondary education. This role focuses on targeted intervention in core subjects, helping students build confidence, close learning gaps, and develop strong foundational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver targeted KS3 intervention sessions in literacy and numeracy
Support pupils requiring additional academic reinforcement
Work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to identify learning needs
Monitor progress and adapt intervention strategies accordingly
Promote engagement, confidence, and positive learning behaviours
About You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a primary teaching background
Experience delivering intervention or catch-up support
Strong understanding of KS2–KS3 transition and pupil development
Calm, supportive, and structured teaching approach
