Maths Teacher

About the Role

An SEMH secondary school in Princes Risborough is seeking a Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time temporary basis. This role focuses on delivering structured, accessible Maths lessons to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, supporting both academic progress and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to SEMH learners
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs
• Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Track progress and contribute to individual learning and support plans
• Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEN, and therapy teams

About You

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools
• Experience working with SEMH pupils or within alternative provision is highly desirable
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
• Strong behaviour management skills and a resilient, empathetic approach
• Commitment to inclusive education and positive pupil outcomes
