Maths Teacher
About the Role
An SEMH secondary school in Princes Risborough is seeking a Maths Teacher to join their team as soon as possible on a full-time temporary basis. This role focuses on delivering structured, accessible Maths lessons to pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, supporting both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons tailored to SEMH learners
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual pupil needs
- Maintain a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
- Track progress and contribute to individual learning and support plans
- Work collaboratively with pastoral, SEN, and therapy teams
About You
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths in UK secondary schools
- Experience working with SEMH pupils or within alternative provision is highly desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
- Strong behaviour management skills and a resilient, empathetic approach
- Commitment to inclusive education and positive pupil outcomes
